The Austrian Archives for Adult Education are the information and knowledge repository of the Austrian adult education centres and their umbrella organisations and forerunner organisations.

The focus is on collecting, archiving, making accessible and indexing text and image sources which are specific to adult education as well as audiovisual and digital media dating from the founding period of adult education establishments in the late 19th century up to the present.

The Austrian Archives for Adult Education contain leaflets, correspondence, bulletins, posters, programme announcements, programmes, minutes, statutes, official statements, press clippings, visual and audio material of the adult education associations, adult education centres and their organisations as well as donations and bequests of distinguished adult educators.
